Just a little cut, as it were I've decided that it's time for a friends-list cut. It will probably take place within the next 24 hours or so. When you're little, you want to be friends with the whole world, but when you grow up, you know that it's not quite feasible. There are those who have been able to word these things more pleasantly than I probably will, but know that I mean this in the nicest possible way, and for those I'll be parting ways with, I wish you the best in life. Here is your opportunity to speak up if you think that you might be cut and don't want to be. If, on the other hand, any of you have been wanting to remove yourselves from my flist, please feel at liberty to do so, and there will be no hard feelings.
So just because it's a women's college, the mascot should be "Angels," "Belles," "Breeze," "Magnolias," "Pearls," "Song Birds," "Sparkles," or "Tigresses"?? It's enough to make one puke!
"Cats" or anything with "cat" in it isn't intrinsically bad, but you KNOW that people will be making misogynist "raowrr" jokes if one of those is chosen, simply because it's a women's college.
It looks as if this will be a voter-driven decision starting in October. I cringe.
Also, I wish that random people in forums would not assume that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Stolen from Brandi and Rachel Give me a compliment, anything in the entire world, even that my shoelaces are pretty. Put this in your journal, so I can return the favor. And once you get some comments, put that entry in a memory or tag so that when you are feeling down, you can go to that entry for a quick pick-me-up and a smile.
I know this kind of thing can be awkward for some, or isn't up everyone's street, so if you don't feel comfortable replying I won't assume you hate me or anything! (Though if you do h8 me, then you should probably take me off your flist. heh)
Off I go to ponder mortality, or try not to. I need a pint or something.
skdfaskd! I just finished the last book of A Series of Unfortunate Events!! Oh my goodness @ the end, but I can't say more in case you haven't read it! That's all! Now I'm going to read up on the allusions.

Sorry, I know I've been a post h0r today, but I just came back from karaoke (I needed another break, OK?) and turned on the radio only to hear Bulgarian folk music!! I'm pretty sure I heard Ivo Papazov's band, followed by something by the Filip Kutev Ensemble.
And here's what I learned tonight: "Crystal" is a bad karaoke song, because ridiculous lyrics like "Here comes love/ It's like honey/ You can't buy/ it with money" make you crack up in the middle of singing. But that is one of the reasons I love New Order.
OK, now to BS 300 more words.
EDIT: BRITNEY AND KEVIN DIVORCING WTF?!?! I would KILL to see what Joel has to say about it on The Soup this week.
EDIT II: Word count 2,185 raghhhh
EDIT III: I have just authored a spectacularly crap essay. Good night!

VOTE HERE!! And note that you can vote for more than one song at a time. Because Barney has skillz like that.
EDIT: I TOTALLY FORGOT THE VERY OBVIOUS CHOICES OF JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SELECTIONS SUCH AS, well, "SexyBack," and, say, "Take It From Here"! Imagining Barney singing cheesy lines such as "I wanna be your air (hhhhhh) so sweet and fair (ahhhh)" is easier than I want to admit.

Watch it. Unless you don't like laughing or something.
I'm thinking of jumping onto the novel-writing bandwagon. Problem: I utterly lack creativity and have no ideas whatsoever (except occasionally for Phil-bashing fiction).

Hahaha I had a dream that I went to a concert where Curt Wild (and also Brian Slade, I think) sang "Hey" by Pixies. Also, the concert was in a church sanctuary. Specifically, the Southern Baptist church I grew up in. ho ho. The audience sang along to the "we're chai-ai-ained (chained!)" part.
Man, I really want to watch Velvet Goldmine now.
EDIT: Katie says that CBGBs closed last week! *tears*
